Located at 9131 Highway 52 E, Ellijay, Georgia 30536 roughly one hour from Milton is B.J. Reece Orchards

This is from many years of trips there.

Many times friends asks for an apple place with more than just picking apples. If you want a place to pick apples and has more for the kids, this is the place. I always encourage people to call a head and make sure they have apples available to pick.

This place has it alot. When you pull in, there are two sides to park for free. We only did one side. On our side they had the store, apples to pick, milking a cow, pony rides, petting zoo, and apple cannons.

When you go, be sure to look at all their pricing options. It is probably smarter to get an all inclusive ticket, but you can pay as you go like we did.

When we first got there we went to the petting zoo (I think it was $6 a person). It is a huge area with chickens, dogs, pigs, ducks, baby cows and more. We spent a lot of time in here and it was a huge gated area so plenty of room to roam around. They let you hold baby chicks in here too. They will give you hand sanitizer when you are done to make sure your hands are clean, but I would suggest you do this after you pick apples so they don't touch all the apples after touching animals.

Next we went to ride a pony for I think $5, located just behind the petting zoo. I will say they were small pony's and my 7 year old looked like he was about to fall off and he is a normal sized 7 yr old. So if you have older kids I would not count on being able to do this.

Right next to the pony's was the cow miking. You actually get to sit down and milk a real cow My son loved this as he had never milked a cow before.

After this, we did his favorite part and went and shot apples out of cannons. I think it was 8 apples for $5 and you could purchase more if you wanted. He loved doing this and each cannon had an employee there to load and help.

There is a whole other side of the street that has more, but we were to tired to venture over.

Fausetts Sunflowers, Burts Pumpkin Farm and Amicalola Falls are about 15 mins away if you are up for day trip.

Bathrooms and gas are limited on the drive up so plan accordingly.
