College Football National Championship Game

miltonmomsatlantaa

Welcome to all my fellow Buckeye fans and the Notre Dame fans. I grew up in Ohio and moved here in 1995 right before the Olympics, so I know all the fun this city has to offer sports fans.

I wanted to welcome you and give you some information about our great city.

  1. For all those driving on Interstate-75 down, here is a list of our favorite places to stop along the way.

  2. I hope you have a place to stay closer to Mercedes Benz because traffic can be crazy. Most hotels are sold out down there, so I suggest you find one along a Marta stop. Traffic can get crazy in Atlanta so if you Uber or Lyft there, get there early and you will still have to walk some as there is no drop off right in front. A very short walk for most people. They do have bikers usually offering to help you get there, but they cant go all the way to the door either.

  3. Have your tickets already downloaded and ready to go. They will have metal detectors too for you to go through.

  4. Marta (our local train service) Tips

Set up the app ahead for each person using it. Tap and Go Made Easy

Use your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet to breeze through the faregates with a simple tap and go. Click the link below for step-by-step instructions on how to set up your digital wallet in the Breeze Mobile 2.0 app. Video on how to use

*Children 46 inches and under can ride MARTA or the Atlanta Streetcar for free (limit two children per paying adult)

*Click here to plan a trip and see which trains you would take to get to your destination.

    Schedule

Plan which trains to take to and from your destination

*Some parking lots are free to park for 24 hours and some charge so please check. Also take a picture where you park your car so you don't forget where you parked. You can use this website to see how full a parking lot is before you leave home. Check Marta parking lot status: http://itsmarta.com/parking.aspx

*Some stations have a bathroom, some-you have to go get a key to use, so plan ahead with little ones. Some stations have elevators and escalators.

  5. There are lots of fun places to see before the game in the area. Check out this article on those.

  1. Mercedes Benz Stadium. Read this info from our previous trips to the Benz. It is a cashless venue and you need a clear bag, no purses and gives you lots more info

  2. Places to eat around Atlanta

  1. I hope you all enjoy our great city and hope this information is useful for you!

And I apologize to Notre Dame, but Bless your heart,

    O H and go Buckeyes!

  2. In true southern style, please feel free to message me on IG or FB if you need any suggestions or have any questions.
