Fausett Farms Sunflowers

Updated: Aug 27, 2022

Fausetts Farm is about an hour north of Atlanta and is a great place to take sunflowers pictures.

They plan to open Septemeber 17, 2022

Make sure when you go you have a full tank of gas and snacks as there is nothing along the way. It is located about 2 miles from Burts Pumpkin Farm and I think next time I would go there first and then to the sunflowers as google maps took me a crazy way. Please use this address 11336 Highway 136 W Dawsonville, GA 30534.

I think it is $5 or $10 a person. They took cash and charge cards in the past. These were 2021 prices, check their fb to see if they have posted the new prices.

In the past they are open 7 days a week once they officailly open. Hours have been 8am - 7pm. These were from 2021 so check to see if they have posted the new hours.

You cannot pick the flowers but they do sell them for $1 each.

*Pets are allowed on a leash

*Professional photographers is $35 per session (again check current price)

They had two fields when we went and we only had time for the one field.

They have mule drawn buggy rides 8-7 daily.

The driveway and parking is on a dirt road so your car will get dusty.

They have 3 porta potties.

They sold some local honey when we went.

The scenery was amazing and worth the trip even after getting lost from google maps.

Here are a few suggestions if you go:

1. It can get hot so the earlier you go the better.

2. Wear bug spray, there are lots of bugs and tons of bees. If you shake the flower they will fly away but be careful you don’t get stung.

3. Bring water to drink to cool you off.

4. I saw many professional photographers bring small step ladders to get the kids higher up to be level with the flowers so you may want to bring one or a tripod to take pictures. Bring props for pictures to if you want. I see lots of seniors take their senior school pictures there.

5. Wear colors that you can see in a yellow/green field.

6. Bring a baggie with water for the flowers for the car ride home. Make sure to shake the flowers before you bring them home. If we don’t, we have lots of bugs in the car. You may also want a towel or blanket to lay them on as they do leave yellow behind.

7. When you get home and place the flowers in a vase you may want to put something under the vase as the pollen does fall off and leave a mess around the vase.

Please note this information is based on past trips and can change.
