Margaritaville water park is about 1 hour from the Atlanta area. It is great for a day trip or a weekend getaway. You can stay the night at Legacy Lodge and there are places to rent boats and a fun water park.
You can buy tickets on line for roughly $50 for ages 8-61. Ages 3-7 and Seniors are about $35. The band covers everything except the zip line. If you go more than 2 times a pass is the best way and it covers the $20 to park too! I buy my son the pass and then I just do a beach pass since I don't do the slides.
The younger kid area
Here are their hours of operation.
They have 6 slide type rides, splash area for little kids, and a wave pool that goes about every 10 mins.
They do have life jackets near here if you need them, an obstacle course where everyone must where a life jacket. You must be 48 inches for it and under 12 need an adult to accompany them out there. I suggest you do this first as we had to wait 3 turns for it and took 45 mins to wait for it. It is way harder then it looks and slippery.
They have foam parties at 1, 3, 5:00.
There are bathrooms around, some in a building up a hill by the sit down restaurant or some in port a potties, so go when you first get there in the building one.
You do have to pay $20 a car to enter Lake Lanier Resort area where the park is located.
I highly suggest you wear water shoes as it gets hot. Have a water proof bag or something to keep your money and keys with you. They do have lockers you can rent. Having it with me at all times helped cut down on the walking to get money.
They do have lounge chairs and a few that are covered, but you can rent umbrellas here and get a discount with the season pass.
They have a Tiki bar on the beach for drinks too, Janet was awesome there! Music is played every where, usually Buffet, but not always.
They have a few food stalls or Land Sharks Restaurant in the back of the park. You must wear a cover up to eat here.
We also have eaten at the Mexican place and the pizza place. The pizza took about 25 mins. The Mexican place the kids meal were $6.99 and came with lots of nachos. If you order the queso note it is small like for one person.

They do have a zip line, but you have to pay extra for it, as it is not included in your ticket.
You can see fish in the lake when you swim which my son loved.
FYI they have no maps of the park, they said to just follow signs or download one before you go here.
You cannot bring in outside food or drinks into this area.
I highly, highly recommend you get this! It helps protect your phone, you can stick cash and a charge card in it and it floats if you drop your phone int the water. (amazon affiliate link)
If you need to hold more stuff I use this one. It is not made to swim with but I use on slides and all items have stayed dry.
