Want a cool place to have fun with the family? Check out The Cooler - Alpharetta Family Skate Center
My son went for a birthday party and had lots of fun.
From their website: "Opened in October of 1997, The Cooler began as one of the largest skating facilities in Georgia. The Cooler established itself as an Alpharetta icon providing public skating, birthday parties and special events for area families and their children. With two 85' x 200' Ice Arenas and one 85' x 185' Roller Arena, families are bound to have hours of fun.
In an effort to provide the best athletic programs for the community, owner John Bardis established programs for figure skating and ice hockey. The Cooler has broadened the sports programs to include volleyball, roller hockey, martial arts, yoga and wrestling with internationally recognized coaches and trainers. Today, the A5 Volleyball program and the Atlanta Fire Travel Hockey program produce some of the nation's top athletes.
The Cooler has become one of the finest family recreation centers in the United States."
There is plenty of free parking here. When you go in, check in and pay to skate and if you need to rent skates. They ran pretty true to size. You will get the skates inside the area where you skate.
When we went Military and police got free rentals, so check and see if they still do this!!
They have 3 large areas to skate. One is public and the other 2 were hockey and other sports when we were there.
It is $8 or $9 to skate depending when you go.
Skates are $6 to rent.
The bathrooms are located to the far left if you walk out of the skating arena.
There was also a water fountain and water bottle filler.
They do have lockers to rent if you want to lock up your items.
