My "mum" and I had a lovely time The Ginger Room Alpharetta in @awesomealpharetta
This charming house is the oldest house in Alpharetta and you feel right a home from the minute you walk in the door!
The staff and owner and the sweetest!
They do everything they can to make you visit enjoyable. A lovely lady with a gorgeous dress with lemons walked in and they even changed her teapot when they found one that matched her dress. It was also this womans birthday so we all sang and they gave her a crown they delivered on a pillow for her to wear.
The tea is amazing and we even bought some tea bags to take home. They have a few pages of different teas to choose one from.
They do birthday parties, bridal showers, kids parties or just tea for anyone.
Make sure to make a reservation ahead. They will require a deposit.
I was very impressed with the amount of food you get for the afternoon tea compared to other fancy teas we have been to.
We chose the high tea for a few dollars more and got a choice of one main dish and a little salad with it in addition to the afternoon tea. I got the coronation chicken salad sandwich and my mom got Shepard's Pie.
We got 5 kinds of sandwiches with about 5-6 each. There was the coronation chicken smoked salmon and dill, classic egg salad, fresh cucumber and the daily special our day was a pimento cheese sandwich. The middle layer of our tray had 2 scones ( there were 2 of us) with strawberry jam, ginger and curd like the queen uses. The top layer had lots of little desserts.
The queen herself would I think would be proud of this little gem in Alpharetta.
Make sure to check back each Friday and Saturday when I post another Family Fun place around the ATL. Check us out on Facebook or Instagram
